Draft Day Showdown….Who’s It Gonna be Rams?
Happy Draft Day Falcon’s fans! If your as nervous as I am as to what the Rams will do with the number two pick, you didn’t get alot of sleep last night. All because of those tricky Rams….
No one has a clue who they’re leaning towards at number two but it has everything to do with who the Falcons end up with at three. If the Rams decide to take the best player in the draft, Glenn Dorsey, and move Adam Carriker out to end, it will leaves Atlanta with Matt Ryan. Ryan was a great college quarterback, and could be a pro-bowler for years to come at an NFL level, but with our current state of the franchise we are not exactly in a position to be taking risks. If the Rams make the logical decision and pick up an outside pass rusher that they so desperately need in Chris Long, it leaves us with the best player in the draft and a sure thing in Glenn Dorsey.
Only time will tell whether Dorsey or Ryan will turn out to be a better pick for Atlanta, but as history shows us, first round quarterbacks don’t usually pan out. When they do pan out it’s because they were drafted to an already solid team with a good offensive line, and lets face it Falcons fans, right now that’s not us.
The Draft starts at 3pm, keep your fingers crossed that you hear “defensive end from Virginia,” when the Rams are on the clock.
