Day One is Done
Day one was full of shockers as expected. After deciding to pass up Glenn Dorsey for a potential franchise quarterback in Matt Ryan, the Falcons traded back into the first round to pick up some protection for the new face of the franchise in offensive lineman Sam Baker out of USC. They gave up two second round picks and a fourth round pick to Washington in order to get back into round one. They then used pick 37 to pick up Curtis Lofton, the middle linebacker from Oklahoma.
So far the needs at QB, OL, and LB have been adressed. Look for the Falcons to go defensive line, cornerback, tight end, wide receiver, and possibly offensive line again on day two.
