Please help stop the NFL from booking bad music acts

Did you know that every 27 seconds an American is born without musical taste? They watch MTV and name the Jonas Brothers as their favorite band. They wear long flippy bangs…. and are guys. They actually watch the Superbowl and Thanksgiving Day game halftime shows and find them entertaining and think that Jesse McCartney is cooler than Paul McCartney. They have never heard of Led Zeppelin and wouldn’t know what to do if they heard the insightful lyrics of Bob Dylan. These poor unfortunate souls do not know what good music is and cannot differentiate the difference, so today I am here to help.

This is just one of many examples of what the NFL is shoving down the throats of the American public. How much longer do we have before the Superbowl halftime show is just a big freaking commercial where one multi-billion dollar media conglomerate after another sells it’s product to hundreds of millions of consumers an idea of what is cool, or fresh or popular…………….. oh wait that has already happened.

 I say we stop the NFL and speak out and say we want good talent playing at the Superbowl. I think we can all agree that Tom Petty was a step in the right direction. But, with a recent lineup that has included N’Sync and Nelly, to Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones. It is a big choice of bad pop/hip hop music to over the hill rock stars who are not nearly as cool as they once were.
