This is a match-up I have looking forward to since week 2. The Falcons got stomped by the Bucs D in Tampa Bay and made the Falcons just look useless. 3 field goals and Michael Turner was stuffed for 42 yards on 14 carries.
Turner was simply manhandled and the Bucs could have hung more points on the birds D that was simply over matched in every facet of the game. I want this win for many reasons. One, we really need it after laying an egg last week in New Orleans. But also because a win against Tampa puts us in a tie for second place in the NFC South and chance to do something that no one expected us to do, go to the playoffs!
Now on to a little something on a guy who I don’t feel gets as much credit as he deserves in this league.
Jeff Garcia is a good QB, that is all. Not great not a game breaker but he won’t lose the game for you and that is a compliment that cannot be said for many QBs (Romo). He has had a hard road in the NFL and he has always held himself with class, aside from a drunk driving incident a few years ago.
Garcia started for the 49ers before they were a joke in the shadow of both Montana and Young. He had T.O. come out and out the guy and then Garcia went to the Browns and then the Lions to back-up Harrington……….. OUCH! Then he finally comes into the Bucs and made them a good solid team with steady leadership. Listen if the guy is in the closet I say let him live his life and play a position that he plays very well. And if he is gay he has the best beard ever with his wife Carmella DeCesare. Jeff Garcia I respect you and I think you are a good QB but this week you must be destroyed!

It took me 10 minutes to even see the words you wrote. i love that photo. Um, I ah, um, dislike tampa more than any other team in the NFL. I never liked the 49ers either. But I have to admit Garcia is a respectable QB. I dont see him as the kind of QB that will carry a team. But he is a very solid part of the team.
