The Falcons cinderella season continues as the Dirty Birds beat the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a Jason Elam field goal in overtime. The Falcons now are tied for second place in the NFC South and still alive for a playoff berth in what has certainly become the story of the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons are vying for a playoff spot in the toughest division in the NFL!
Matt Ryan played well enough not to lose but 2 interceptions threatened to sink the team that he has single handily brought from the abyss of the NFL. Michael Turner again showed why he is the best free agent pick-up in Falcons history with his franchise record 15th rushing TD.
The Falcons are a revelation and proof positive of the parity that the NFL has created. Anyone who says one draft can’t give you hope need only to look at the Falcons and Dolphins in the AFC.
