Dallas loses and Falcons control their future

AUTHOR: placeholder | IN: Falcons | COMMENTS: None Yet |

The Ravens did what I hoped they would do yesterday and beat Dallas in the Texas stadium finale. The Cowboys held the #6 seed at the beginning of the game with the birds outside looking in but just a few hours later the ‘Boys are out and the Falcons, as of right now are in that last wildcard spot. Oh hell yes!

The Falcons now need to win the game in Minnesota more than ever to allow us to remain in the playoff picture and keep the Cowboys out of the picture. If we lose then Dallas will all but clinch and spoil what has been an incredible cinderella season for a Falcons team that many thought would struggle to win 4 games this year.

Minnesota is a team that is playing well. Tavaris Jackson is playing well the last couple of games regaining the starting job that he lost in the beginning of the season. But with one of the Vikings best defensive players in Pat Williams out of the game, his loss which should open more running lanes for the Falcons rushing attack provides on paper one more advantage for a Falcons offense to take their destiny into their hands and go the the playoffs.
