The season can’t come fast enough

We have all felt it. The NHL and NBA season just ended. Both my teams made it to the championship and went .500 Lakers won and my Wings lost so I did pretty darned well and mid-season baseball is just kinda boring for me personally. So, here we are late June NFL training camps open up in about 4 weeks and I just cannot wait!
 The Falcons, my pride and joy, my love, my passion, some would say obsession look to continue their success from 2008 with some new faces (T. Gonzalez, Mike Peterson) and without some top guys as well (Keith Brooking, Michael Boley.)

Falcons on the way to consecutive winning seasons? I say yes!

OK, it is a bit funny to say consecutive winning seasons and have it be a big deal, but no other team in the NFL with such a history has NEVER had consecutive winning seasons. Well folks, I am here to say that will end this year folks.
 Now, the naysayers say that the Falcons have a really hard schedule and that the NFC South is just too stacked and too tough to repeat as a playoff team but I say that talent and coaching can and will overcome scheduling issues and roster depth.

6 weeks till training camp and counting

The summer has officially come here in Phoenix and I am already tired of it. I miss my Atlanta Falcons and I want to see my Falcons play, but first there is training camp and man I just cannot wait.
 What to watch: The Falcons have lost some players on the defense but a good draft and some important signings in free agency made the secondary a special area to look at. Erik Coleman and Chris Houston will be leaders in the backfield and I expect big things from them.
