1. Adrian Peterson : The number 1 pick in just about every fantasy draft will be Peterson and rightly so. The talent displayed and the effort put forth by this young back is just incredible. He is a lock to have another great season with a very good offensive line and a talented team that if Brett Favre plays means that Peterson will have a lot of chances to score points and be a solid player in all formats. 1,550+ yards 12 TD’s

2. Michael Turner: The 2nd most rushing yards in the NFL last year will net the free-agent sensation the 2nd overall pick in fantasy drafts. Expect another 1,450+ yard season and I feel at least 14 TD’s.

3. DeAngelo Williams: The Panthers running back will be elevated due to his enormous season in 2008. He is going to have a good season again but I have a hard time believing that Jonathan Stewart his backfield partner won’t improve with extra experience and a healthy knee, something that hobbled him in 2008. Williams 1,100 yard 14 TD’s

4. Matt Forte : I think that this guy just may be the best rookie running back from the 2008 draft class and that is saying a lot. Forte came in and owned the starting spot from day one and really impressed me. I would not be surprised to see him have more yards than D. Williams because he doesn’t have a back-up RB with the talent of Jonathan Stewart. 1,200 yards 10 TD’s

5. Maurice Jones-Drew : The human bowling ball is the premier player in the Jaguars and he is a great player who is going to be good for years to come no question about it. I just wish he wasn’t on a team that has no other offensive threats to keep the defenses in the AFC South honest. 1,000 yards 11 TD’s
