Curtis Lofton leads the NFL in tackles through week 10 with 90, throw in 2 forced fumbles and we have a guy who needs to be accounted for by every offensive coordinator in this league. Now I know I have gone on about how much I love the way this guy plays before but the numbers don’t lie and I want to get the word out right now that the former Sooner and current Falcon needs to get voted to the PRO BOWL!
The OchoCincoNewsNetwork has a poll on Facebook right now and Lofton needs your support there as well as [...]

I wanted to take just a quick moment to recognize a friend of BloggingDirty.com CVSFlags.com. You will find a link for these guys on this page. They sent me an absolutely awesome Atlanta Falcons flag and I wanted to show my appreciation by throwing their name out there.
So if you know a die hard Falcons fan or are one yourself you should check out their great selection and low prices, plus I got my flag really really quick so shipping is just great too.
The Falcons lost again! Ahh! I can’t stand it. This time it is Jason Elam missing a kick that he had no business missing, field goal that would have given the birds a 1 point lead and most likely broken the back of the Carolina Panthers who were playing with a lead all day long.
Matt Ryan could not throw a straight ball all day and Michael Turnerran wild in the first half for 111 yards before going down with a high ankle sprain, another hit to an already depleted backfield.
The good news is this, the NFC is so listless and so inconsistent [...]
The Falcons enter week 10 facing a Panthers team that looks very different from the previous tilt from week 2.
In that game Steve Smith absolutely destroyed our secondary for 131 yards on 8 catches. Smith has been a huge problem for the Falcons during his career and I can’t see anything changing until I see otherwise. Does anyone know how many TDs Smith has this season? The answer is 1! This is an upsetting statistic for me because Smith, in my opinion is probably the best best receiver in the NFL pound for pound.
It is a shame for a great player to be [...]
The superbowl performer will be…
The Who.
I love classic rock and I will usually say that any group from the 60’s-80’s is almost always better than the crap that is released today. All a bunch of music made for people that haven’t shaved yet and people who generally have no taste. But the Who?!
They have been very popular for decades and no doubt they are talented and a couple of rock operas and Baba O’ Riley later the are true pioneers but Keith Moon is long gone and John Entwistle passed away in 2002. I feel that the NFL is just missing the mark year in and year out.
…And then [...]
Mike Smith is a popular guy on this blog, he is smart and he knows his football. He was involved in a minor scuffle on Sunday against former Falcon DeAngelo Hall after a minor late hit knocked Falcons star QB Matt Ryan out of bounds right next to the Atlanta bench. Words were exchanged a a possible face-mask grab and/or punch was thrown by Mike Smith.
Well I say HELL YES! Mike Smith already has serious brownie points and is already my favorite coach but now the guy who I have called a pimp in the past has now been elevated to the level [...]
NFC South breakdown week 9
Another great week of NFL football is almost complete and the regular season is at it’s halfway point so let’s take a moment to reflect on what we know and what we think we know in the NFC South.
1. New Orleans is good but…..
I am not going to jump on the Big Easy bandwagon anytime soon and I will admit I like watching this team play. The offense, well what can be said about them that hasn’t been said a thousand times before. They have so many weapons they can execute anything. The defense is soooooo good….
The Saints are [...]
Falcons win a yawner
The Redskins are one of the worst run teams in football and played so bad in the first half in the Georgia Dome today that I could swear they just packed it in. Then something happened after the half, a football game broke out!
Clinton Portis has had an awful year, he left the game with a concussion after a 2 on 1 helmet to helmet collision in the first quarter and did not return. Jason Campbell who could not hit water if he fell out of a boat in the first half lead his offense down the field in the second [...]
That is a quote from Falcons linebacker Curtis Lofton and can I just say that I agree completely with the Oklahoma middle linebacker. The Falcons did split the season match-up with the Saints. They are a very good team but the Falcons have the weapons to beat them.
I am going to keep this simple. The Falcons play on Monday Night Football. This is the game where the Falcons can make a statement to the NFL that they are a serious contender and can match-up with anybody.
LETS GET IT ON!
