Multiple sources are reporting that Pete Carroll will be announced as the new head coach of the Seattle Seahawks after the surprise firing of Jim Mora Jr.
 I am not going to go on about how I feel about Mora being fired and that it is something I am completely against but because of a statement I read today on ESPN.com: “Carroll was fully expected to be introduced by the Seahawks as early as Monday, assuming they comply with the Rooney Rule this weekend.”

Falcons make history, end 44 years of inconsistency go 9-7!

The Atlanta Falcons won today. No it didn’t get us into the playoffs and no it was not a huge game or a blowout or anything but it was big. How big? 44 years big my friends.
 The Falcons have never had back to back winning seasons. Well, that ended today on January 3rd 2010 because we have done it.

Turner out for Falcons, this is a good thing people!

This is a brief post before the game begins but I want to just say how happy I am that Michael Turner isn’t playing today. Yes, I am happy he isn’t suiting up because I want that guy ready to go next season. 2010 will be a great year, the draft is just a few short months away and you best believe the Dirty Bird will will be there for all of it. The great New York booze ban, is it fair?

This Sunday the New York Jets will host the final regular season game and quite possibly the final football game ever at the Meadow lands in East Rutherford New Jersey. And because of this fact the Jets organization has decided to ban the sale of alcohol.
