Kiper thinks Falcons and Graham are a great fit

Notre Dame Fighting Irish v Michigan Wolverines

ESPN Draft Expert Mel Kiper updated his latest mock draft and has the usual suspects at the top of the draft. Sam Bradford, Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy and Russell Okung all going as the top four picks.

But let’s cut to what really matters. What does he think the Falcons will do at #19?

Brandon Graham
DE, Michigan

Kiper: At 270 pounds, Graham has the size to be an every-down defensive end in this league. He’s not just an Outside Linebacker prospect. He uses great leverage to hold up against the run, and as the NCAA leader in Tackles For Loss, he’s a terror for opposing quarterbacks. Think of Dwight Freeney or Robert Mathis, a disruptive edge player who isn’t at all meek against the run.

I absolutely love this pick. A heads-down pass rusher who can collapse the pocket. I know I have been enamored with Sergio Kindle from Texas for a while and I still like him if Graham is gone.

In my Mock Draft, I had Graham going to the 49ers at 17. The Falcons have shown a lot of interest in Sean Weatherspoon, but I definitely like Graham and Kindle better.

What do you think? Is Graham the best fit? If Kindle falls should we grab him? Let me know in the comments.
