Probably the most ridiculous analysis of a team that is going to make some SERIOUS noise nest season!
    GO FALCONS!!

Well said Mike. The Falcons may not have been flashy this offseason, but they quietly added pieces that improved their team. Definitely not the worst in the NFC.

Mike Colic is an idiot…of all the 32 teams he got Falcons as worst off season. What was he smoking and where do ESPN find all these dumb asses.

Maybe Golic was trying to “think outside the box” and just thought of a team he hadn’t heard much from. A curious choice at best.

Seriously retarded. The truth is that you don’t know how good an off season someone has had until at least the regular season is underway (or over). That said, if you are going to do it (make assessments so early), there have got to be teams that had worst off seasons (i.e. Panthers), at least on paper. He didn’t mention that we kept all of our important pieces, and we added a top CB which was a pretty big need. That was totally unexpected, and retarded.

Good to hear from you again Tom. Either Golic has really lost touch with the NFL or he was trying to stir up controversy, which he certainly did!!

I didn’t think the Falcons did too bad — certainly not the worst. They maybe could have done better by some accounts, but they addressed areas of need, whether via free agency or through the draft.

If the Panthers hadn’t drafted Jimmy Clausen, “we’d” probably be the receiving the brunt of this topic.

Good point Eric. Perhaps if the Falcons had specifically addressed the pass-rushing DE need, Golic would have been happier but this team is already good and they quietly added more pieces.

I know the Panthers might have made his list if that DeAngelo Williams transaction snafu was real!

Picking Clausen makes the panthers offseason the worst, no question.

It was a bit of a surprise, but perhaps the value at the pick they got him was too great to pass up. If we judge which team was hurt the most from 2009 to 2010, I think the Cardinals took the biggest hit in the NFC.
