As we head into week 2, I will take a look at all the Falcons that are in play for fantasy football this week. In my league, I own Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez and the Defense, so when we lose it hits me even harder.
- QB Matt Ryan – Matty Ice has a tough matchup this week against the Eagles secondary. If you have other options then consider them. As i only have Ryan and Cutler on my team, I will be going with Ryan, hoping his fantasy numbers will pick up from last week.
- RB Michael Turner – Definite start in this game, the Eagles interior defensive line and linebackers aren’t the best. If the Falcons get the ground game going, Turner could have a massive day.
- WR Roddy White – Another tough matchup, but still Roddy is a definite start, hopefully for Roddy’s owners he will be against Asante Samuel most of the time, I think he could have some joy with that matchup.
- WR Julio Jones – A borderline starter option against the Eagles, may have some luck over the top of the Eagles secondary but that depends on if Ryan has enough time to throw it deep.
- TE Tony Gonzalez – A great fantasy option this week, with the Eagles talent at Corner, i can see Gonzo being heavily involved on Sunday night, he is a definite start for me this week.
- Falcons Defense – Probably best to avoid them this week, especially after last week’s disappointment. Their should be better options out there for you.
