I like Grimes and no doubt he is the best that the falcons have to offer at cornerback but paying him as much as it would take to keep him probably will not be worth it when you consider how sorry our defensive backfield is. The defensive backfield seems to always be bad for the Falcons. It's to the point that any team coming to play the Falcons knows their best chance of winning is going to be throwing the ball against us. Just watch what happens anytime any decent passing team is playing the falcons. It's way too easy for any passing team to move the ball downfield on this team. If you were playing the Falcons why would you not want to pass the ball against them? What is it about our defense that another team would fear? People that have been Falcon fans for years know that we were a large factor in making Jerry Rice famous. With six games certain to be coming every year for what will be quite a while against folks like Drew, Cam and Josh we will continue making quarterbacks and wide receivers famous if we don't do something different. I agree.
