Atlanta Falcon Brent Grimes To Host Youth Football Camp

Football players will have the unique opportunity this summer to learn individual and team techniques on both offense and defensive from members of the Atlanta Falcons at the Brent Grimes Football Camp held on June 7th-10th.
The football camp offers overnight and day camp options and will be held at Oglethorpe University, and will feature current Atlanta Falcons cornerback, Brent Grimes. The camp is designed for players ages 7 to 18 and will feature daily instruction, lectures, and demonstrations by Brent Grimes and members of the Atlanta Falcons. The college and high school coaches on staff will ensure individual and team instruction on both offense and defense.
Football newcomers and seasoned players alike will also experience teamwork, consideration of others, self-discipline, and how to attain their potential in sports and in life. Players also learn the importance of achieving good grades and selecting correct role models. Even though this is not an “autograph camp,” members of the Falcons will be available for autographs.
“The camp works the fundamentals of the game. The skills presented here give the players a head start to the season,” says Grimes.
Undrafted for four seasons, Brent Grimes went from the Falcon’s undrafted practice squad to being one of the top cornerbacks in the league. He led the Falcons in interceptions with six in 2009 and had 67 tackles and 13 passes defended. In 2010, he recorded 82 tackles, 5 interceptions, and an NFL-best and franchise record of 23 passes defended, earning him a spot in the 2011 Pro Bowl.
