I have just a few pieces of news today from the Atlanta Falcons. If there is a breakthrough or something that needs further analysis, you bet that you can find it here.

The first and most prominent item is Albert Breer’s Falcons Training Camp piece. If you’ve been reading the Falcons blogosphere, it isn’t particularly innovative stuff, but Breer certainly hits the nail on the head. Its always worth another look to see what a national reporter, someone who doesn’t focus on the Falcons every day, has to say about the team. Good read.

Secondly, we have a 1st-quarter-of-training-camp grades of Falcons rookies from D. Orlando Ledbetter. He gave guard Peter Konz an ‘A’ which looks good, but he gave most of the players at least a ‘B’ (the exception being tackle Lamar Holmes who he gave an incomplete grade). The grading might be generous, but I think ESPN’s Pat Yasinskas would agree with Ledbetter– Yasinskas believes Konz will crack the 1st team line as a guard very soon.

I’ll have my take on any news out of Falcons Training Camp or anything affecting the Falcons as soon as it comes up.

Topics: Atlanta Falcons, Peter Konz
