Julio Jones vs. AJ Green: What I am watching tonight

Game #2 of the preseason is only minutes away, and I for one am PUMPED! There are a lot of story lines to watch, and I could bore you with them all, but I am here to preview the one I am watching. I will be tuned in to see Julio Jones vs. AJ Green.

The 2nd year WRs were the top 2 receivers in the 2011 NFL Draft. AJ Green was selected 4th overall, while Julio Jones was selected just 2 picks after. Both the WRs wowed us last season, putting up stellar rookie numbers. AJ Green finished with 1,057 receptions and 7 TDs, and Julio finished with 959 yards and 8 TDs. If you would like to see what I expect out of Julio Jones, click here. I expect, from AJ Green, about the same numbers as I do from Julio.

Today, I am looking forward to seeing how the two looked compared to each other. AJ Green reminds me of Roddy White and Calvin Johnson type of receiver, while Julio reminds me of a Mike Wallace type of guy, but with more of a red zone threat than Wallace.  The athleticism by both is incredible, and am going to love seeing the two play on the same field.

If you want great coverage of the aftermath, stay tuned to articles from BD. If you want a recap of last week’s game, read this great article from Greg.

Until next time folks, Cam is signing off!
