ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported Willy Mo will suit up for Atlanta another five years, ensuring that one of the better safety tandems in the NFL in 2012 will play together for at least another four.
The product out of Mizzou emerged as one of the better safeties in the NFL in 2012, recording 75 total tackles and 4 interceptions in only 12 regular season contests. He also has room to improve, and with Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator, he could put up even better numbers in 2013-14.
I’m sure keeping him in Atlanta was top-priority. Letting a player who’s just beginning his prime test the market is not wise at all. Moore, along with Sean Weatherspoon, are undoubtedly two of the best players on D-Block.
