Sean Weatherspoon In Line To Become The Leader Of The Falcons Defense

This is certainly going to be a big year for one of the leagues top linebackers, Sean Weatherspoon.

Weatherspoon is entering his fourth year with the Falcons and has showed up as a player through out his first three years with the team. As he enters his fourth year in the league and with the Falcons, he will be expected to become more of a leader.

There is not one player you can label as a leader on the Falcons defense. In recent years defensive end John Abraham was recognized as the leader of the defense, but now that he is out of the picture with the team since he is a free agent, it seems likely that Weatherspoon would step into the role.

Weatherspoon has all the capabilities of being a great leader on the Falcons defense. He has shown in his three years in the league that he is a great player. His continued stellar contributions on the field will motivate others to become even better on Sunday. He has also shown that he is very vocal on and off the field, another attribute that comes with being a leader.
