Poetry in Motion By Bobby G Copperhead

The Falcons 2013 preseason has started a little bit rough,
We witnessed some new things and some discouraging old stuff.

Sideline interviews showed a somewhat relaxed team having some fun,
It was nice to see Desmond Trufant wearing number twenty one.

Cincinnati has a top ten defensive unit and they set the tone,
nevertheless ten points, even in preseason, is horrible in the Dome.

We did not play Julio or super tight end Tony G,
But Coffman played very well from what I could see.

H.D one and done and wonder if he feels,
Drew Davis looking for playing time on his heels.

Strong leg Matt Bosher had nice hang time height,
Rest of special teams weren’t so special this night.

Osi, Babs, and Biermann were frequently around the ball,
And the energetic play of Massaquoi stood out tall.

Josh Johnson proved that mobile QB’s a huge problem still,
Have to fix that because with schedule the Birds get their fill.

Was that Jackson or Turner leading the rushing attack ?
Jason Snelling a damn good number three running back.

Time to study film and dig deep into each heart and soul,
Can’t let Sanzenbacher look like he’s going to the pro bowl.

Two tackles in the box score won’t bring home the bacon,
Unless your Brian Banks and the long journey he’s taken.

Blitz packages ineffective no matter what Nolan tried,
Alford showed why the coaches love his upside.

Was it nerves that gave Dom Davis a very poor showing,
Next game important for this athletic back up to start growing.

Trust Coaches to make adjustments and don’t panic for good reason,
Don’t forget last year the Birds had a one and three preseason.
