Roddy White Injury Not Severe

If there’s one thing the Falcons are good at, it’s resting their players as much as needed.  Head coach Mike Smith even has an over 30 club.  Any player 30 or over gets a day off of the week.  I know that’s the case for regular season and I’m not sure if it stands during the preseason.  Roddy White is 31 years old so he’s well taken care of.  Even if he hadn’t hurt his ankle, he would have had some time off.

Roddy White, who left the game early due to an ankle injury, has a low ankle sprain.  If it were the regular season, He would play this week.  It is the preseason and there is no reason to risk any further injury so White will probably sit out this next game and most likely the following game as well.  He will be full speed and ready for the season opener against the saints.

What a relief!
