Happy birthday, Atlanta Falcons

Happy birthday, Atlanta Falcons!

On June 30, 1965, the Dirty Birds officially came to be, although they would  not officially become the Falcons until August of that year. While original owner Rankin Smith was the big boss for much of the Falcons’ life, many Falcons fan see 2002 as the year where the second life for the Falcons began, when Arthur Blank took control.

We Dirty Birds have been a loyal and dedicated bunch over the oft trying years, and our devotion has paid off over the past few years (last year notwithstanding). A slow start for a franchise (just three or so decades to get going) and we may finally be on the right track.

And again — Happy Birthday Falcons!
