Welcome to the fourth part of an Atlanta Falcons free agency preview. In this series, we will be going over each player that had their contracts expire after week 17 of this season.

PLAYERS ALREADY COVERED: Kroy Biermann, Sean Weatherspoon, Osi Umenyiora…… (Can be found here)

"TEAM FREE AGENCY PREVIEW (included in every article of series)There is no hiding the fact that this team is going to look new, fresh, even strange. We will not be seeing Mike Smith on the sidelines anymore, but a new face. Dimitroff and the new coaches are going to want to make changes for the city of Atlanta. Players will be released, they won’t be resigned, and new athletes will come in.Keep in mind that this isn’t a team that is rebuilding. This is a team that has one of the better, if not the best, quarterbacks in the NFL in Matt Ryan, arguably the best wide receiver in the league in Julio Jones, and a play-making cornerback, Desmond Trufant."

Atlanta Falcons RB: Jacquizz Rodgers

There’s a reason the Atlanta Falcons drafted Devonta Freeman in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. There’s a reason why fans have been shouting the name, ANTONE SMITH, all season.

There is no reason why the Atlanta Falcons will re-sign Jacquizz Rodgers this off-season.

Jacquizz is a fan favorite to some, but he is also a waste of a roster spot. The Atlanta Falcons are stacked with running backs heading into 2015 with Steven Jackson and Devonta Freeman leading the way and Antone Smith will undoubtedly be re-signed as well. It also doesn’t feel like the Atlanta Falcons are losing a talented player. Jacquizz was supposed to be the breakout star for a couple of years now, but it seemed he was never ready to take a lead role. He averaged only 3.7 yards this season, and ended up with only 217 yards and 1 TD.

Prediction: The Atlanta Falcons will NOT re-sign Jacquizz Rodgers
