The Atlanta Falcons 2015 NFL schedule hasn’t been released yet, and won’t be officially until 8 p.m. ET. One report suggests they will travel to New York to face the Giants in Week 2.

The game would be the Giants’ home opener, and would provide the Falcons with a tough test early in the season.

Atlanta lost on the road to New York in Week 5 of the 2014 NFL season by a score of 30-20. Odell Beckham Jr. caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.

The Giants are an intriguing team heading into 2015. They are slowly building a team of playmakers as they look to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2011, the same year they went all the way to win Super Bowl XLVI.

With Beckham joined by a healthy Victor Cruz, the Giants boast one of the best wide receiver duos in the entire NFL. With two talented targets for Eli Manning, the Falcons’ pass defense would need to play a whole lot better than it did in 2014.

This one could become an offensive shootout, similar to the game we saw in 2014.

With Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, the Falcons will have a chance to steal a victory on the road. If they can add a talented running back and tight end, then their chances grow.

The full schedule will be released at 8 p.m. ET tonight, and we will see whether the Falcons do in fact play the Giants in Week 2.

This would be one of the tougher road games for the Falcons in 2015. There are some more favorable away trips for Atlanta, however, as they will travel to Tennessee and Jacksonville at some point.
