Gurley at No. 8?

Todd Gurley is a great talent, but surely he won’t be taken with the eighth overall pick? Dan Brugler of CBSSports.com believes it could happen in his latest mock draft.

"“The real question is: how early will Gurley be drafted? And the answer – it’s impossible for him to be drafted too early.Looking at the top-10 picks, there are several possible scenarios, even as early as No. 3 overall to Jacksonville. But Atlanta at No. 8 might be more realistic as the Falcons are searching for more firepower on offense and Dan Quinn would have his version of Marshawn Lynch in Atlanta.”"

Dismukes in late rounds?

With defense a pressing issue early, could Atlanta turn to the offensive line with Reese Dismukes in the late rounds? Scott Carasik of Bleacher Report takes a look.

"“Dismukes would be able to play either guard spot or center in the offense and has the athleticism to be a factor for the Falcons long term. Good, cheap depth is tough to find in the NFL, and the Falcons could find it here with Dismukes.”"

Falcons won’t overlook receiver

While there are plenty of needs on this team, the Falcons won’t overlook the wide receiver position, writes Vaughn McClure of ESPN.

"“With all the talk about the Atlanta Falcons adding an edge rusher in this year’s draft, some of the discussion about the need at wide receiver has been overlooked.Yes, the Falcons still have one of the league’s top targets in Julio Jones, but they also cut ties with Harry Douglas and have maybe one good year left in 33-year-old Roddy White.”"
