Poll Results: Who should start at RB for Atlanta Falcons?

facebooktwitterreddit

We asked you who should start at running back for the Atlanta Falcons in 2015, and the poll couldn’t have been much closer. With 53 percent of the vote you, the Blogging Dirty readers, picked Devonta Freeman as your starting back.

The fact the voting was so close highlights the fact that the Falcons are strong at the position this year. Freeman will be looking to make a bigger impact in 2015 than he did in his rookie campaign, and he will be able to do just that with more carries.

With a year of NFL experience under his belt, he could be the smart choice to start in Week 1, and it would then be up to him to maintain the spot.

Tevin Coleman, on the other hand, will be looking to make an instant impact this offseason in order to start the season as the lead back. For this to happen, Coleman will need to impress the coaches in training camp and preseason.

Either way, both players should see plenty of the football this year barring any injuries, and will hopefully form a strong 1-2 punch in the backfield.

It’s important to have more than one talented back in the NFL, and Atlanta looks to have just that now. Thank you to everyone who read and voted — it’s great to hear what Falcons Nation feels about the team, and we would love to talk Falcons with you all in the comments section.
