Atlanta Falcons: Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be name of new dome opening in 2017

The Panthers play at the Bank of America Stadium.
The Buccaneers play at the Raymond James Stadium.
The Saints play at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

From 2017, the Falcons will play at… Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

You didn’t misread that. The Atlanta Falcons’ new home, set to open in 2017, will be named the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Falcons owner Arthur Blank has landed a big-time sponsorship deal here, and the bonus is it will tick off Saints fans.

But if you have any doubts, just take a look at the images below to see how well the new sponsor blends in with the stadium design. In a couple of years time, the Falcons will own one of the world’s best sporting venues.

So will the NFC South feature two teams playing at the Mercedes-Benz? It’s unknown how long the company will continue with the Saints after the current deal ends.

One thing we can surely agree on is that the new stadium looks incredible. As long as the Falcons are playing well and putting up victories, I think we’ll soon forget what the name is. Will this be the NFL’s best stadium? It’s possible.
