Ryan Schraeder is in no rush to sign his restricted free agent tender. As it would cost a team a second-round pick to sign Schraeder — and that’s assuming Atlanta doesn’t match — it’s unlikely a team comes in for him. But for now, he’s in no hurry. And who could blame him?

Falcons want Vic Beasley playing more linebacker — Matthew Chambers of The Falcoholic

Now this piece of news is interesting. Vic Beasley hardly lit up the stat sheets last year, but he put together a fine rookie season at defensive end. But now it appears the Falcons are planning to move him into a more hybrid role playing more as a linebacker in the 4-3 base defense. He would rush the passer off the edge in the nickel defense. Interesting to say the least, and I wonder how this will pan out.
