Happy Tuesday, Falcons fans. We are now just 16 days away from the 2016 NFL Draft, and Mike Mayock has released his latest board. It’s interesting to get a feel for what players might fall where and how this could affect the Falcons’ draft.

Let’s just not pin too many hopes onto the fourth round, as Thomas Dimitroff’s history with this pick isn’t too exciting. That and more is featured in today’s Dirty Bird Daily. As you sip your coffee this morning, enjoy these articles from the world of the Atlanta Falcons.

Atlanta Falcons takeaways from last week — Aaron Freeman of FalcFans.com

This week, Aaron Freeman breaks down the Falcons’ cornerback issue following Jalen Collins’ four-game suspension. He lists some potential free agents who could fill in short-term for the Falcons while Collins sits, and also looks at the futures of Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford who are due for new contracts soon. Now we are just over two weeks away from the 2016 NFL Draft, we’re beginning to see analysts’ final draft boards. NFL.com’s Mike Mayock has released his more recent board, which has seen Sheldon Rankins rise to No. 2 among interior defenders. Could he tempt the Falcons at No. 17 if he’s there? Another name to watch is safety Keanu Neal, who will potentially be there for Atlanta in the second.

And finally: Falcons show more interest in tight end

The Falcons seem to have a keen eye on the tight ends in this year’s class, perhaps a sign they will look to land one of the prospects later this month. Maybe there is a view to trade back in the draft. At this stage, your guess is as good as mine.
