Does former Pro-Bowl WR Roddy White see a coaching opportunity in the office? Or how about a spot in the Atlanta Falcons front office?

As crazy as it sounds, former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White could potentially be interested in a front office job for the Falcons. On Tuesday, White was asked by reporters if he would like to coach for the Falcons. The Falcon all-time great didn’t respond in the way anyone expected him to. He answered by saying:

"“I don’t think I can coach, but I would be open to a front office job.”"

Current Position and Future Ideas

White currently coaches as a volunteer at a local Atlanta high school. He didn’t know what he wanted to do exactly, but he had some ideas in mind. A professional scout was the receiver’s primary option. No interest was shown in the college scouting business however.

Is It the Right Time?

Roddy didn’t want to make any moves too fast. He wants to make sure his five year-old child is in college before he makes any life changing decisions, but he will go where life takes him.

Interest

The Falcon all-time receiving leader is comfortable where he is now but a future coaching position sounds appealing to him.  He made it clear that he was not set on the thought of scouting now.

"“The time and commitment that you have to put in as a coach is so hard. I can’t dedicate that much time. ” – White"
