The Baltimore Ravens come to the Georgia Dome tonight to battle the Atlanta Falcons. It is the final matchup against an AFC team for the Falcons in 2010.

Should the Falcons win, we would be a full game up on the idle New Orleans Saints in the NFC South. If we lose, we fall to 6-3 and will be tied with the Saints for the NFC South lead, but would hold the tiebreaker due to our 27-24 victory over them in the Superdome.

It’s sure to be a tough game between a pair of 6-2 division leaders. It will be well worth watching to say the least. The game can be seen on the NFL Network at 8:00 P.M. ET.

If you live in the Atlanta area, you can also watch the game at 8:00 on MyATL TV.

Not too much is going on today in Falcon land, but I wanted to share something with you all.

I was at this seminar at Phillips Arena in Atlanta today called “Seize the Day”. It was an event at which several popular celebrities, including Sarah Palin, Bill O’Reilly, Ben Stein and others spoke about how to be the best person that you can be.

Among guest speakers was former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw. During his speech(which was last, and by far the best), he gave many good quotes. But one in particular stuck out to me.

He was talking about Cincinatti Bengals WR Terrell Owens, and how Owens seems to love him some him. Bradshaw suggested, however, that T.O. might just be onto something, and it was after that when he gave one of the best quotes I’ve ever heard in my life:

“If you don’t love you some you, nobody else will either.”

What Bradshaw was implying was that God created us all in His image, and we should all care for and respect ourselves. Because if we don’t respect ourselves, we in turn don’t respect God. So if we don’t love ourselves, nobody else will either.

So rise up Falcon Nation! Love you some God, and love you some you!

Peace out!

The Atlanta Falcons were victorious on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, topping their NFC South rival 27-21 at home.

Once again, it wasn’t pretty, and the game had every Dirty Bird in the nation on the verge of cardiac arrest. But for the sixth time in eight games this season, the Falcons added another one to the “win” column.

The Falcons have defeated both of the South rivals they’ve played this season, including the big win at the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. And with their win on Sunday, the Falcons sit 1/2 game ahead of the Saints, and currently hold the tiebreaker.

At 6-2, the Falcons are also tied with the best record in the NFL.

Rise up and get pumped, Falcon Nation! It may not have been pretty so far, but our boys are one of the best teams in the NFL. And if they can keep squeaking out these wins, we’ll be in the playoffs and on our way to Dallas in no time!!!
