The Atlanta Falcons play a game against another team for the first time in 223 days tonight when the Kansas City Chiefs come to Atlanta. I know it’s the preseason but the Chiefs are not a good team. If the Falcons are Super Bowl-caliber, I expect the first few series to be dominated by Atlanta. I know the Falcons will be missing around 10 players but this is a team they should dominate. I don’t care about the final score but the first quarter score should be 14-0.

Now that I have that off my chest, on to the good stuff. It’s been seven months since we’ve seen the Falcons suit up and though the starters won’t see more than a series or two, there are a few things I’ll be keeping an eye on. Hit the jump for preseason breakdowns. Because you demand it.

When the NFL added the Houston Texans to the league in 2002, the NFC South division was formed. The Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers left the NFC West and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vacated the NFC Central to bring the division count to eight.
