It’s hard to find a defensive player who’s stood out for the Falcons, but if it’s anyone it’s Paul Worrilow. The 2013 UDFA walked onto the team and immediately took over from the injured Sean Weatherspoon as the vocal leader of the D. 2014 rolled around, and Spoon again went down injured. Again it was Worrilow to shoulder the load, taking play calling responsibilities and the leadership role. Worrilow ranks 2nd in the NFL with 44 tackles, has forced a fumble and continually finds the ball carrier. He has improved his pass coverage ability, and can be relied upon to wrap up a runner completely. Whilst probably not on the same level as the offensive stars, Worrilow has no doubt been a shining light on an otherwise poor Falcons defense.
