Under the lights, who comes out on top and why?

JH: My gut says Atlanta beats us, but I still pick the Saints in this one 29-27. I know a lot of our players are new to this rivalry, but at the end of the day that’s exactly what this game is – a clash of divisional foes.

The Falcons are certainly not sleeping on the Saints, and that’s the right mentality to have. I look for this to be one that goes down to the wire, and if Brees and company want to have any shot of a respectable season, it begins with a major boost of confidence by beating an undefeated team.

How they knock off Atlanta will be primarily because of Drew Brees. He hasn’t had many terrible games in his career, and if you go back throughout his tenure, he tends to have great rebounds.

The Falcons haven’t exactly had the best pass rush, sitting with 6 sacks through five games. The Saints aren’t any better with their 7 sacks. I believe the offensive line will pull their act together to give Brees the time in the pocket he needs to be successful, and it will allow them to move the ball well accordingly.

John sent some questions my way about the game, too. You can check out the full interview here.

We would like to personally think John for taking the time to speak to us. Be sure to check out Who Dat Dish for a Saints perspective on the game. It’s going to be an offensive battle featuring two of the best quarterbacks in the game.
