Atlanta Falcons: Five toughest games in 2016
4. Broncos on the road
Here it is, a shot to beat the Super Bowl champions. It won’t come easy as it’ll be on the road a mile above sea level. Who knows, maybe it’ll be the 2016 season curtain raiser in September – Denver will host the season opener.
The big question is how similar this Denver team will be to the 2015 version. For starters, Peyton Manning will almost certainly be gone. Who will be the starting quarterback? Maybe it’s Brock Osweiler. C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman are also pending free agents.
On defense, Von Miller will almost certainly be back in Denver, even if that requires designating the franchise tag. Even if the likes of Danny Trevathan and Brandon Marshall leave in free agency, the Broncos’ defense is still going to be among the best in the NFL.
It will be interesting to see at which point of the season this game is scheduled. Will it be early on while the Broncos are still in a Super Bowl celebration, or will it be later on in the year with playoff implications on the line?
Denver will once again boast of the league’s best rosters, and in a tough environment, the Falcons will have their hands full.
