It’s time to truly upgrade the backup QB position as Matty Ice is one year older and had a roller coaster season in 2015. In Hogan, he has the size and the winning pedigree. Spending four years as a starter in Palo Alto, Hogan has more athleticism that most give him credit for. He needs to improve his deep passes however, as long as Matty stays relatively healthy, Hogan has plenty of time to improve himself.

Other names to consider: QB Brandon Allen, DT Luther Maddy, OL Joe Haeg
