Charles Tapper turned heads at the Combine with an outstanding 4.59 40-yard dash. Something that he wasn’t known for when watching his tape. Keep in mind that Tapper is 271 pounds. At 6-3, Tapper has great NFL size and can be reliable at the point of attack.

The knocks against Tapper are his technical issues in his skill set. He tends to play high at times and hasn’t consistently learned how to lower his pad level. Tapper does bring solid strength to the table which will be a welcoming addition as the 4-3 Under scheme requires a deep rotation of solid pass rushers. Tapper is worth a look in the fourth round and will be given a little room for development. If he reaches his ceiling, Tapper has Pro Bowl potential.
