5) Alex Mack – C

The Atlanta Falcons had a good amount of money to spend in this years’ offseason and they chose to use a good chunk of that on pro bowl center Alex Mack. Mack was awarded a 5-year contract worth $47.5 million and he’s worth every penny.

Mack made the pro bowl last season after missing his first playing time ever after missing 2014 with an injury. However, Mack rebounded in the best way imaginable and made the pro bowl for the third time in his career and showed everyone why he’s in the discussion as the best center in the league.

Mack is now the highest-paid center in the NFL and will need to prove his worth, but that shouldn’t be very hard to do. The Falcons had arguably the worst center in the NFL last season in Mike Person so it’s impossible to get any worse play out of that position.

Mack cracks the top five for multiple reasons. He’s extremely athletic, he can snap the ball and pull around to block and is very reliable. He isn’t going to rack up penalties and he’s going to snap the ball perfect almost every time. We shouldn’t have to witness Mack snapping the ball over Matt Ryan’s head in 2016.
