Vonn Bell, Ohio State

Vonn Bell is one of the most talented safeties in the class. The only concern is with his size.

Let’s start with the positives: Bell is good in coverage and has great instincts. He has the potential to become a solid player on defense, and would help fix an immediate need on defense for the Falcons. Blogging Dirty’s own Eric Robinson gave his take on Bell in his scouting report for NFL Mocks:

"“Bell is one of the better safeties in the entire draft. His instincts are rare for strong safeties as is the ball skills and the efficiency in pass coverage. His football IQ is not too shabby as well. A once stable candidate in my list of top five overall safeties, Bell is no longer on the particular list. As solid as he is in his overall game, his size is enough to keep you uneasy.”"

Bell is projected to be selected at some point on day two. If the Falcons can get him in the third round it will be a good move, but his size concerns might make it difficult to take him in the second.

If the Falcons leave the position early in the draft, Bell could come into play a little later on.
