NFL: Ranking the top five offenses in the NFC
2) Seattle Seahawks
In three career seasons, Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson had never thrown for more than 3,500 yards in a season. But in year four, he had other plans. Wilson threw for 4,024 yards to go with 34 touchdown passes. Woah. Have yourself a season, buddy.
Wilson was forced to throw the ball more often because beast mode Marshawn Lynch missed much of the season with injuries. Thomas Rawls led the team with 830 yards and Wilson added 553 as well. Lynch came in a lonely third with just 417.
But despite the down rushing numbers, they still finished with the third-best total yards in the NFC and they aren’t going anywhere. Receiver Doug Baldwin hit the 1000-yard mark and three others recorded 600 yards or more. That’s a recipe for success.
This is a unit that should be just as good if not better in 2016 so watch out.
