The Falcons need to keep their approach of going best player available in the Draft. They have had some good draft classes in recent years and they need to knock this draft class out of the park in order to go back to the playoffs. Devin White would be a luxury pick for them in the first round but when looking at the future this pick makes a lot more sense. Next offseason the Falcons will have a tough time keeping their 2016 Draft Class on the roster. The 2016 class includes SS Keanu Neal, MLB Deion Jones, TE Austin Hooper, and OLB De’Vondre Campbell.

The Falcons will likely not be able to keep all 4 of those guys and the odd man out is Campbell. Drafting White already fills that need for the future and the Falcons would have a filthy LB core for the 2019 season. With White dropping into coverage you can give Campbell more pass rushing opportunities which will help the defense.

Next. Julio Jones deserves to be the highest paid receiver. dark

If the Falcons are going to take Devin White it needs to be with the 14th overall selection. The Falcons should not trade up in the first round unless Quinnen Williams falls in the Draft for some strange reason.
