Atlanta Falcons to watch versus the Jets
Tyeler Davison
The former Saints player made his first appearance last week and played the first couple of series. He is a guy that we are excited to see paired with Grady Jarrett and we should get our first glimpse of that Thursday night.
Tyeler, Crawford, Zimmer and Odum have played well enough that second year defensive tackle Deadrin Senat could find himself cut in less than a month.
Jermaine Grace
The third year linebacker out of Miami was the player of the game last week against his hometown Dolphins. He is currently listed behind Deion Jones and Bruce Carter and has a chance to unseat the ninth year pro in Carter to be Jones primary backup. This battle is just heating up and will be fun to watch over the next several weeks.
Jordan Miller
He makes this list for the second straight week. His coverage skills have been really good and it is very apparent that had he not gotten hurt at Washington, he would have gone much higher than the fifth round.
He won’t be tested this week, but can he continue to prove he belongs on the roster and as the backup to Desmond Trufant? Hopefully he will take a step forward in his ability to read offenses and recognizing his keys faster.
Isaiah Oliver
Even Matt Ryan is excited about what he has seen out of the second year corner. His ability to play at this level was never in question, his inner confidence is what has changed. Oliver believes that he belongs in the NFL and that confidence is not also opening up new doors to his ability but it is also winning over teammates.
There is no doubt Oliver will get tested often this season by the plethora of high level quarterbacks that the Falcons will face. He will have an opportunity to be a household name by December and his play will sink or swim the Falcons defense.
