Round 7 Pick 8: C Kaleb Kim

The Atlanta Falcons last pick of this mock draft is going to be Auburn center, Kaleb Kim. After trading away Duke Riley the Falcons currently do not have a sixth-round pick. Late in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Falcons need to look for a center they can develop because Alex Mack is getting older.

Kim is an athletic offensive lineman that can provide solid depth long-term for the Falcons. If the Falcons wanted to find Alex Mack’s future replacement, they should look at Oregon center Jake Hanson. Unfortunately, Hanson was not available for this pick but Kim would be a solid addition for offensive line depth.

Hopefully, the Falcons make moves before the trade deadline and accumulate more picks before the NFL Draft. Mock drafts will change throughout the year and team needs will change depending on free agency.

Mohammed Sanu, DeVondre Campbell, Vic Beasley, Devonta Freeman, and Austin Hooper are all potential names being floated around as possible trades. Hopefully, the Falcons re-sign Hooper and avoid trading him.

The players the Falcons will eventually acquire in free agency and the draft will all depend on the new head coach, assuming Atlanta fires Dan Quinn. The Atlanta Falcons need to find an offensive-minded head coach that can adjust their scheme to the talent already in place.

Next. Falcons should be buyers not sellers. dark

Finding a coach that has a certain scheme and will not adjust for Matt Ryan’s style of play will only set this team back. The Atlanta Falcons do not have a ton of cap space to work with and need to invest remaining money into the defense.
