The Atlanta Falcons will take on the defending champs the Tampa Bay Bucs in week 2. The game kicks off at 4:05 EST on FOX.  It is a star-studded divisional game that Falcons fans simply hope remains respectably close.

No one expects Atlanta to beat Tampa, rightly so after each team’s week one performance. Tampa took the Cowboys’ best punch and still managed to pull out the win late. Atlanta put two field goals on the board in the first two possessions and never scored again in a blowout loss to the Eagles.

These are two teams coming off of very different week one experiences and very different expectations going forward. For Atlanta finding the endzone and keeping this game within ten points would be considered a step forward.

Losing is never a “moral victory” but Atlanta can show growth and give fans a reason to be hopeful for the seasons to come. If week one was any indication this Atlanta coaching staff is going to be in trouble and the Falcons are going to struggle to sell tickets.

Week two is a chance to get better and at the very least be competitive. Here are five players, in particular, Atlanta should be watching closely in week two.
