First gift: Falcons finding two new playmakers on the offense

Two players on the offensive side of the ball have really stepped up throughout the year for the Atlanta Falcons, they have really been the only consistent players on the offense throughout the season.

Those two guys? Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson.

Let’s start with Kyle Pitts. Pitts has been the Julio Jones of this year’s offense. He brings a physical nature to the offense that no one else brings, and he is vital for success moving forward. Many expected Pitts to be the playmaker of the Falcons offense, but it is still something worth talking about.

Sure, he has not put up crazy stats every game, but he does impact every game. He takes pressure away from other guys each time he lines up.

As many expected Kyle Pitts to be a playmaker, Cordarrelle Patterson is a completely different story.

Patterson has been lost on the depth chart of offenses for his whole career, but now he finally has a defined role and he has been spectacular.

It would have been hard to imagine Cordarrelle Patterson leading this offense before the year started, but that has been the case. We cannot give him enough credit for everything he has done for the team. Hopefully, the Falcons decide to gift him a new contract for his contributions.
