1. George Pickens is the best fit for the Atlanta Falcons in the draft

George Pickens is a player whose draft stock I expect to rise rapidly between now and the draft. Pickens is a receiver with number one talent who dealt with a serious injury that took him out for the majority of the season. The injury has hurt his draft stock and while it is understandable Pickens has the size, speed, and explosiveness you want to target at his position.

It is also noteworthy that during his time at Georgia Pickens managed to stand out in an old-style offense. Without a great quarterback during his three years at Georgia and being a part of an offense that rotates receivers with regularity Pickens numbers don’t fully tell the story of how talented the young receiver is.

Pickens had his best season his freshman year when he finished the season with 727-receiving yards and exploded onto the scene for Georgia. His regression in production is due more to Georgia’s offensive style and lack of an elite quarterback and less to his actual level of play

If the Falcons were to miss on Pickens another name they could target it Justyn Ross. While Ross isn’t quite as exciting as Pickens he has the size and speed Atlanta lacks and would pair well with Kyle Pitts.
