1. Baker Mayfield

Now that Deshaun Watson has been brought to Cleveland, Mayfield is going to be looking for a new team. After a season that ended with an injury and on the last year of his deal Baker is going to likely be acquired for very little in comparison to Watson. He also comes with far less risk and off-the-field concerns. If you’re Atlanta and you aren’t sold on any of the quarterbacks in the draft why not bring Baker in for a season?

Worst case scenario the season goes sideways and you end up with a top pick in a much better quarterback class. Best case Baker shows the promise he did during his rookie season and brings the Falcons back to relevance. Obviously, this seems unlikely considering the fact that the Browns did just trade for Watson in favor of Baker, however, the Brown’s track record at the position is spotty at best.

Baker Mayfield is a fun quarterback to watch and would bring some swagger and fun to an offense lacking both of these qualities. Bringing in Mayfield isn’t perfect but of the moves Atlanta has left in free agency or the trade market it is without question their best gamble.
