4 Quarterbacks the Atlanta Falcons should consider drafting

4. Desmond Ridder

Desmond Ridder is going to be the surprise pick in this draft, a player that goes much higher than he is expected to. Ridder has been tied to the Falcons and it wouldn’t be shocking to see Atlanta select him 8th overall if the top two pass rushers and Malik Willis are all off the board. Selecting Ridder would be a mistake considering he isn’t elite at any certain skill set.

His accuracy is a long-term concern and the quarterback is more of a traditional pocket passer.   Two traits that don’t project to pair well together especially when you consider the players he would have around him in Atlanta.

Ridder is a good quarterback but like Pickett is going to need the right situation to find success at the next level. If Atlanta drafts him as their next franchise quarterback they will have a clear ceiling and will have to be able to put together a very deep roster to compete.
