4) Atlanta Falcons’ rookie production rankings: DeAngelo Malone – OLB – Round 3, Pick 82

This was a huge pick for the Atlanta Falcons because it was the pick they got via the Matt Ryan trade to the Colts.

DeAngelo Malone will have a lot of pressure on his shoulders just because of that. He will have a bigger rookie year than most people expect, as he has excellent talent that showed in college. The Falcons will be trying to find any pass rush they can, so he should get significant playing time.

He has a case to rank higher on this list but he is still a work in progress.

3) Atlanta Falcons’ rookie production rankings: Arnold Ebiketie – OLB – Round 2, Pick 38

The Falcons traded up to grab Arnold Ebiketie, so you know that the coaching staff has some high hopes for him.

While we should keep our expectations in check, watch out for him to have a double-digit sack total in his rookie year, and if he does that then he should be number one on this list, but again, keep the expectations at a minimum, especially when it comes to the Falcons pass rush.

There is a reason he calls himself the ‘Doctor’ because he was a specialist when it came to getting to the quarterback at Penn State, so let’s see if he can bring that to the NFL level.

2) Atlanta Falcons’ rookie production rankings: Tyler Allgeier – RB – Round 5, Pick 151

This might be surprising but there is reason to be excited about the Falcons newest running back.

First of all, he and Qadree Ollison are the two power backs currently on the roster, the difference between them? This regime drafted Allgeier while the previous regime drafted Ollison. They will have loyalty towards Tyler.

He was an absolute bowling ball at BYU and put up some amazing stats during his college career, no reason to think he cannot be a perfect compliment to Cordarrelle Patterson in his rookie year. Not to mention, there is a long track record of successful late-round running backs in the NFL.

He should get plenty of opportunities to score touchdowns, which is why he ranks second on this list.
