2. Mariota was the most accurate he has been this season

During the Atlanta Falcons preseason, there was excitement surrounding both the Atlanta quarterbacks based on how efficient and accurate they were. Mariota played his role perfectly in the preseason spreading the ball quickly and accurately setting up his playmakers and using his legs to make something happen if his first or second read wasn’t open. This Mariota went missing for the first five weeks of the season with the worst version of Marcus taking his place.  The quarterback that the Titans benched that missed easy throws and turned the football over at the absolute worst times.

That player perhaps feeling the pressure of Desmond Ridder looking over his shoulder disappeared on Sunday. Mariota only missed one throw on Sunday and was deadly accurate throwing clutch touchdowns to Pruitt and Kyle Pitts and running and converting a third and forever that helped tilt this game.

Mariota had very little on his plate on Sunday compared to many quarterbacks but the responsibility and throws he was given were handled perfectly. Perhaps his best throw of the day was to Kyle Pitts for what was Kyle’s first touchdown in Atlanta.
